A God of Opportunities
I am always amazed how God uses the ordinary things of everyday life to open doors of opportunity for the gospel to be shared. In Vision for Asia and its work with our partners we have the privilege of being part of and seeing this very thing in action. Our partners call it love in action! This can be done in many different ways disaster relief, vocational opportunities, feeding programmes, water relief and ministry trips.
In this article I want to focus on just one of the many different ways in which doors of opportunity open and that is water so important in many aspects of daily life.
Water in rural India can be hard to find with women and children being the ones who walk to find it then carry it home. Usually, the water is not very healthy and can cause many different illnesses so providing water in a village setting is a great way to help improve health, save time and helps in times of drought.
Over the years Vision for Asia has been running we have helped to provide clean water for hundreds and thousands of people. Either through help with disasters, drought and extreme heat providing bottled water, hand pumps and one project where a whole towns water supply was improved and stabilised. A town of over 400,00 people!
This year 2025 we have already helped Samuel Joshua install 2 such water pumps in villages in desperate need.
“Greetings in Jesus precious name
We are very much thankful for your kind consideration this 2025, for helping us with two wells and these two critical villages, Banjara and Tallapenta, waited for so many long years to get their own well…
These villages faced a lot of persecution and the Pastors, and the village believers are being beaten many times for collecting water near the government wells, the only thing wrong is they became Christians. These people made them drink impure water near the canals, drain water, which made many infectious diseases. But they prayed to God and now through Vision for Asia we are able to drill the wells and now through this project we saved 5000 families with fresh living water.
We do not only do these wells for Christian people in the village but we made open to all people showing the love of Jesus and then when the wells of Government are damaged the same people who persecuted the believers would come to the well near the church and then pastor welcomes them and the Pastor will have an opportunity to preach the gospel of Jesus. (remember Jesus near the well).
This is always an ongoing need in the villages and there are many villages, so we always follow the Star Fish Principle, Save One”
Our partners are always so grateful for our support and these people receiving the wells are so blessed. But this all comes down to you and your support making this financially possible. I want to say a big thank you to all of you on behalf of our partners and the team of the VfA here in the UK.
Over the years we have helped to install over 100 pumps meaning relief for thousands and thousands of people in hardship. But this also opens the door of opportunity that out of this act of love hundreds, even thousands, have come to the know Jesus.
