Vocational Training

Vision for Asia regularly looks at initiating new projects to help train adults in a vocation which will enable them to become self-supporting and provide an income for themselves and their families, empowering them to raise themselves out of poverty. We help fund teaching ladies to sew and men to repair bicycles.

For those who have had no schooling, the women who have married young and the men who battle daily with the changing climates which destroy their work as farmers and fishermen, life has become an endless struggle to meet their families desperate need for food and survival.

Vision for Asia vocational training programmes were created to empower both men and women to lead a life of dignity through teaching them a skill for life. Qualified teachers train those who enrol on the bicycle repair and sewing courses, with the aim of them becoming self-supporting with the prospect of earning a steady income for themselves and their families.

Sewing and Dressmaking

Vision for Asia works closely with our local partners sharing their vision to help the poor. One such vision is to share the love of Jesus with women who could be given the opportunity to learn a life skill through sewing.
