Praying for this beautiful part of West Bengal, an Praying for this beautiful part of West Bengal, and the people I have been privileged to meet, as the tropical cyclone Amphan continues to approach the coasts. The area to be hit today is particularly populated and exposed to the risk of flooding. Homes will inevitably be destroyed. Evacuation operations to brick shelters are being carried out in the effort to keep people safe during the impact, however the epidemic of covid-19 complicates evacuation, with the authorities trying to enforce the rules of social distancing. #pray #cyclone #humanitarian

This Easter will forever be one that we all rememb This Easter will forever be one that we all remember. Though days of uncertainty and fear have seemingly left the world crippled, there is a Hope that will get us through these dark times. Jesus was crucified and was buried, but just when the world had seemingly lost hope, He rose from the dead. His resurrection provides hope. “Do not be afraid, He is not here; for He is risen.” Even though people are physically distant, be encouraged, God does not practice social distancing. As we take steps to protect ourselves and others p As we take steps to protect ourselves and others physically from the spread of COVID-19, let us also remember to turn to God for protection and healing. We invite you to join us in praying for peace, protection, and healing. Father God, we cry out to you now on behalf of those infected by the coronavirus. In your mercy, heal the sick and bind up the broken-hearted. As both infection and fear spread, we ask for courage and protection for healthcare workers and those whose jobs make it impossible to self-isolate, risking their own well-being for the sake of others. We pray wisdom for government officials and those in decision-making positions. May they rightly discern what needs to be done to treat those already infected and prevent others from falling sick. We know there are those in quarantine, afraid they might be exposed to illness, wondering when they will return to their normal lives, anxious about what might happen next. Father God, comfort them with your peace that passes understanding and grant them patience during this frightening season. Lord of all, we are intimately connected to one another no matter where we reside on the earth, and so we plead for healing, good healthcare, relief and wholeness for our partners and friends in Asia and in all the nations where this virus has made its appearance. Heavenly Father, we pray for you to intervene to stop the spread of the coronavirus and to bring an end to this epidemic. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. In times like these, we are reminded that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
