Pastor Piyal Mondal, Kolkata, India

We thank you for your faithful prayer and support for our ministry growth 2016. When we look back at 2016, we have seen that we have gone through many difficulties in health and finance in our family and our ministry family, but we Praise God for His love and care for my family and ministry family and for his protection and help. God has looked after us and used us in mighty ways to show the love of Jesus to our people.

During our gospel program, I met with Tapan and his mother. His Mother told me, ‘my son is absolutely fine by God’s grace. Thank you for praying for Tapan.’ Witnessing the healing of the boy in the village, 9 families came to the Lord. His mother and his family are very happy and they are sharing with others how Jesus touched her boy.

Andaman Islands Update

Pastor Varughese Mathew, Andaman Islands

Here in the Andaman Islands the ministry is great. Last Sunday a few of our team members visited the hospital and distributed tracts to the patients. One lady, soon after she read the tract, phoned me and told me that never in her life had she known what peace was. Her son, since his birth, was regularly in and out of the hospital but had never been healed.

I prayed for her and this Saturday myself and my wife, along with a few of our team members, visited her home in the village called Pahadi Nallah, which is three kilometres from our children’s home. Knowing about our visit she gathered many of her friends and relatives. After we ministered the Word of God many accepted Jesus. She was so joyful saying that she now experiences a real peace of mind.

God moves miraculously in various villages of the Andaman Islands. Please pray that the ministry would witness a great revival.

Philippines Update

Pastor Chary Refugio, Philippines

Greetings to you all in the wonderful name of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ! Praise the Lord for the great and mighty things He has done for us and in the lives of the people here in the Philippines, through all your prayers and support.

Pastors’ Appreciation Banquet

Last December by the grace of God we are able to have a Pastors’ Banquet in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, and it was attended by many Pastors and their spouses from different churches and denominations. Most of them are ministering to the tribal people in the mountains and in different Muslim tribes. It was a wonderful fellowship that refreshed, encouraged and strengthened them. They said that was their first experience in their ministry life. And we gave them gifts: clothes, groceries, kitchen wares and cash. And we prepared for them a nice meal and it was a wonderful fellowship of unity amongst the pastors and church leaders. Praise the Lord!!!

Christmas Programme

We conducted feeding programmes for hundreds of children from different places and it is such a joy and a precious gift from the Lord to see those children touched by His wonderful love. Hallelujah!!!

Because the enemy is working hard to destroy the lives of our innocent children here in the Philippines, please include also in your prayers our outreach programmes for the children.
We were able to distribute clothes to hundreds of families who live in the jungle and mountains and we let them feel the amazing love of our wonderful Saviour that could never let us go, and their response was so great... Praise the Lord!!!

Vision for Asia Ministry Tour in Mindanao

In the last Friday and Saturday of every January, we celebrate the ministry anniversary and have a general convention. This New Year we were so honoured and blessed by the visit of our wonderful precious brothers in the Lord: Andrew, Ricky and Jason. They were God’s precious gift in our celebration that was attended by more than four hundred people, including children from our churches in neighbouring towns and places.
In our City of Dipolog, we gathered together for the celebration, and we held our two day celebration in our church in Galas. The day they arrived in Dipolog City, Brother Andrew and Brother Ricky ministered the word and Bro. Jason encouraged us, and we saw a tremendous response from the pastors, church leaders and the people. It was such a wonderful fellowship that was so full and very rich; memories for all of us to cherish. To God be the Glory!!!

After the celebration we travelled to some different places; mountains and walking in the jungle. Despite the very serious threat of terrorism in our country, most especially in our Island of Mindanao,  God kept us in His ark of safety - and we were so inspired and encouraged by the passion and love that God put in the hearts of our precious brothers, Andrew, Ricky and Jason. To God be the Glory! We visited a Military Camp in the mountain and prayed for the soldiers and we saw a tremendous response from the people in every meeting.

And one of the unforgettable experiences that I must tell you about was when we ministered to a school in the top of the volcano in Nueva Vista, or Mt. Malindang. I prayed for that village for fifteen years that I might be able to go up there and minister, and God paved the way last year to conduct an evangelistic crusade there. So this year I brought our precious brothers, Andrew, Ricky and Jason to minister to the Pastors and the whole school because the teachers were concerned that their students were demon-possessed, girls talking like big mad men and lots of demonic manifestation. Many times it stopped their classes, because in this mountain there is a cult group that doesn’t believe in Jesus and doesn’t believe in the Bible.

When we travelled up that mountain we really experienced demonic restraint, like the car that we hired that will pick us up at 7 in the morning but never showed up until 10.00am. Our meeting there, was 9:00 am and by 7: 30 am they call us to say that they are on their way to pick us up, and then at 10:45 they called us to say they are not available but Praise God! If the enemy has a plan our God has a wonderful plan because He provided us a car right after that, Hallelujah!

When we arrived at the place we re-scheduled the meeting in the school for the afternoon so we then ministered to the pastors first; we had wonderful fellowship with the four pastors there, encouraged and strengthened them and prayed for them. Brother Andrew shared a word from the Lord and it was very timely and Brother Ricky encouraged them. I let brother Jason evangelize a lady named Walita that transformed her and she found Jesus at that time. And after that we had a wonderful fellowship lunch with the Pastors.

In the afternoon we were going to minister to the school. It was raining but the students came down from their school with their teachers to the centre of the village, because there is a covered court there where we started our meeting. Brother Andrew played the song, ‘Thy Kingdom Come,’ brother Jason shared his testimony and then brother Ricky shared a story of the importance of the Word. Andrew shared about the wonderful Love of Jesus, and after that we gave them the opportunity to respond to the Love of God. All of them including their teachers responded, Hallelujah! Glory to God!

After that, their countenance was radically changed; they were so very happy they were transformed and one of the teachers came to me and shook my hand, and he said this was his first time to hear this message. I was shocked to hear the teacher and yet amazed at what the Lord Jesus was doing. And now I’ve heard reports after that meeting that there is a huge difference in the students and the School is changed. Praise the Lord!

Thank you very much for all your prayers and support for the works of the Lord in the Philippines, that God made this possible through you.

Allahabad Update

Rev. Amit Thomas, Allahabad, India

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I am delighted to share a bit of the work that the Lord is allowing us to do here in Allahabad, North India. First of all, I want to thank the Lord for doing marvellous things in our lives. I count it as a privilege and honour to work for the Living Lord for the extension of His kingdom. I also express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the partners who support us with prayer and love. Indeed it is this mutual support we have that allows us to keep going and the Lord blesses us.

May the life-changing Gospel penetrate every heart and may the Lord bless everyone as we all take part in extending the kingdom of God throughout the globe. My prayers are assured for all of you and your family too.

Here in Allahabad, we had a great Christmas celebration along with a love feast. We also celebrated the joy of Christmas with the children at the orphanage and children’s home, and this time we visited the leprosy hospital and had a love feast too.  Last year, six young men were trained to be equipped for sharing. It was a movement where we really saw that God is still at work and He does great things. Along with that, I had time to share the love of Christ with the cycle rickshaw pullers, by distributing the blankets to them on the streets, where people could barely afford to have even a blanket in the hard-hitting cold.

May the Lord bless us together as we look forward to proclaiming the love of Christ and reaching out to those who are still looking for the light and life.

Rajamundry Update

Pastor Samuel Joshua, Rajamundry, South India

Thank you for supporting us with help for a bore well. This has literally saved hundreds of families, practically showing the love of Jesus. The temperature this summer is almost reaching 40 degrees; there are two critical villages that need our help and we can literally save 1400 families permanently with water. As some of you know, we are having financial loan problems with the Vision For Asia Church, so we ask you to please help this time with any support to clear this loan.

In the Easter Season we would like to start feeding programmes in the villages surrounding our Vision For Asia church, and so we need 150 UK pounds. Please do have a soft corner in your hearts.

We thank you for all your help and we are asking the VFA team to visit us this year in South India.

Myanmar Update

Pastor Robert Rabie, Myanmar

Greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is my pleasure to send the report and activities of my ministry here in Myanmar.

As for the result, out of the many difficulties of my ministry activities, we have been able to reach the people with the gospel and now, some people are coming to Christ and many more are expected to come in the future. As the Lord enables us, 20 people including children have already been added to the list of our Church members and we are looking for this to increase.
We have fasting and prayer every Saturday and at each Sunday worship service there are at least 15 people. Moreover, sometimes we used to set up a gospel seminar programme with non-believers and there the gospel of Jesus Christ’s salvation was taught. That is the most effective way to reach people. Our prayer is that we may have a bigger place to gather as a group and be able to arrange a seminar every month.

No more in Bondage

Pastor Kenny Zahid, Pakistan

Manzoor has been in slavery for the last 40 years, and he was just 10 years old when he and his family became slaves. Manzoor is married and has two children: his daughter Maryam is 15 years old and his son Rohit is 12, and they were both born into slavery. They are one of the families who were baptized when we started our little church in brick kilns. Mary had the privilege of teaching Maryam and Rohit, and both of them are brilliant students. They are still studying in our little school for the slave children. Manzoor has had two hearts attacks and developed Asthma. It was very difficult for him to carry on working with brick making, and all the dirt triggers his asthma as well.

On 29th January this year, by the generous giving of many friends, we were able to raise enough help to free Manzoor out of slavery, and help him rent a small house to start a new life. Not only this, but by your gifts we were able to help him buy a donkey cart and get him contacts so he can start earning a decent living. Today Manzoor is making USD$ 10 a day.
What a great story of God’s love in action. On behalf of Reach Pakistan and Manzoor’s family I would like to thank all of you who have been praying and become part of Project EXODUS. God bless you all.
